content management - When showing a list of files, is there a preference between 'Recently Used' and 'Frequently Used'?


I see Google has implemented the recently used section in Google Drive but not Frequently used files. Same goes with Finder in Mac which shows 'All Recent Files'. What is the reason for this? Is there any research around this?


If I was the user, I would have preferred to see my Frequently used files over the recently used files. Recently opened files show all the files that are not necessarily important to me.
